Abstract

This research entitled “Sibawaayh's improvements in phonetic Manifestation and Assimilation of Typicality, and Adjacencies Gemination” is confined to what Sebwei himself improved phonetically.
The aspect that are dealt with can be represented by assimilation only.
The outline is represented by a preface and two hubs. The preface is concerned with the definition of assimilation and scholars’ concern about it.
As for the two axes of the study, the first axis is related to the assimilation of two vocalized sounds and adjacent sounds which have different places of articulation, and the second is concerned with coalescent assimilation of sounds that are homorganic.
Then the research is concluded with finding remarks and bibliography.
