Abstract

Recent technological developments have contributed to the emergence of new forms of digital media, represented by social networks and other sites and applications that work to build bridges between individuals, groups and people. For a variety of human beings of different ages and interests, once used exclusively by adults, especially researchers, it has now spread to a large segment of children, adolescents and young people who have found it. It is enjoyable to achieve many of their wishes and highlight their personalities, The most prominent applications that attracted children, adolescents and young people are the social networks through the Internet and the most famous Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, MySpace, Gath, Entragam, Watsab and other applications, for easy use and flexibility of the restrictions to participate in addition to the nature of man and his desire to form relationships Along with his peers, as well as a lot of free time in his life, with limited opportunities for him outside the home to meet with others, was a key factor in the accession of many of them to those networks.
It has penetrated the lives of individuals and changed the character of social life at all levels, both at the level of the family, which is the nucleus of social upbringing or at the level of society in general, as individuals in the same family communicate through social networking sites and connect with friends and restore the network of previous relationships and knowledge As well as it helps to exchange community experiences, information and knowledge, but it is necessary to pay attention to these sites and take into account and know their psychological and societal effects on their users, a number of media scientists have confirmed the negative impact of this community Virtual society, It reduces the robustness of human relations and helps cultural invasion. Moreover, their frequent use causes social, ethical and health problems that lead to isolation, disruption of youth relations with their families and discontent with relatives' visits, as well as loss of family contact for many social meanings and replacement of family visits on occasions. This study came to know the role played by digital media such as Facebook, YouTube and others in widening the gap between members of the Iraqi family and the impact of this on the value system within the Iraqi society.
