Effect of Using The Internet on Academic Performance Levels for Iraqi University Youth | Field Study
Abstract
Is the internet an effective intermediary in the educational process, providing the public with information about various topics related to the part of knowledge in humanities and has targeted research to study this role by conducting a survey on the students of the University of Baghdad, Kirkuk, so I think the researcher on the hypotheses derived from the theory of Information requests, as the research objective is to detect the rate and size know the network side of the internet, and try to reach the reasons and motives of their exposure to access, and on how confident the information that they receive through those sites, and associated social networking sites in terms of the degree of adoption of students in access to information, and to identify the relationship of demographic variables to search for information through web sites. This is a search of descriptive studies in terms of genre, the researcher used the product the tourist to reach the goals that the research seeks to achieve, after of the most the product in line with the requirements of the research, being focused on orientation to data and information pertaining to the target audience on the phenomenon subject of the research, has the research adopted the questionnaire as a tool for data collection was distributed to a sample of (300) the vocabulary of the students of the University of Baghdad, Kirkuk, and concluded the search to a set of results of the most important.:
1- The results showed that among the benefits for students to use their internet is redundancy in the exposure of lessons at a time chosen by the student.
2 - The YouTube is considered the more social media sites on the internet use in education and attract students by providing information and ease of Use, and contain a large number of subscribers if you can create closed groups between the professor and his students that what is in place in some Iraqi universities generally and the Baghdad and Kirkuk in particular.
3- The researchers 'responses revealed that the most important reasons for their exposure to educational sites were their keen interest in learning lessons and lectures. They ranked first among the researchers' responses.
4- The study data suggest that the follow-up educational issues have topped the issues and topics pursued by respondents through the internet.
5- The researchers ' responses showed that 60 per cent of them considered the internet to be a very useful educational tool and that 40 per cent saw it as a medium-level educational tool.
