Relative Deprivation and it's Relation To Social Identity Among The Unemployed | Field Study on Graduates of Salahuddin University

Abstract

The current study aims to identify the relationship between the relative deprivation and social identity among  the unemployed graduates of the faculties of the University of Salahaddin- Arbil, the Kurdistan region of Iraq. In the light of some variables related to the level of cultural and social, such as gender (female- male), specialization (human –scientific), Social Situation ( Married, single) and the year of graduation (2015- 2016). The study was based on a descriptive method. The measure of relative deprivation and social identity was applied to a random sample of 370 graduates. The study concluded that there is a positive correlation between the relative deprivation and social identity of the study units of graduates of Salahaddin University.
