Abstract
This research is a survey of homograph in Arabic and English. In English, homograph is partial homonymy. There are many definitions of homograph, yet it can be defined as a word similar to another word in spelling and different in pronunciation and meaning. In Arabic, homographs are words shaped similarly with different meanings and pronunciation.
Absence of vowel points make the homographic words ambiguous. So, homograph may create a problem in Arabic. This problem is due to many reasons.
