The economic situation of the Timorese state under Shah Rukh (1405-1447)
Abstract
Tumur bin Terghay was founded in 1370-1405, a vast country in Central Asia. After his death, his son, Shah Rakh, took over from 1405 to 1447. The economic situation in the country flourished. On the reconstruction side, many large buildings were built, especially the religious institutions, mosques and religious schools. And the trade between the Timorese state and other countries has been active due to the stability of the security situation and the lack of enforcement of the Taxation on commercial caravans and their protection by the Timorese local authorities. Agriculture has developed due to the opening of many irrigation channels, the reclamation of arable land and the availability of markets for the disposal of goods. However, this boom did not last. It soon ended after the death of Shah Rakh in 1447 A civil war began between the ruling dynasty to control the government.
