Abstract

The aim of the current research is to find out the effect of the use of the problem-based teaching strategy on the acquisition of mathematical concepts among students in the preparatory stage in Iraq. In order to verify the research objectives, the researcher formulated a zero hypothesis.
The experimenter took a full-time coursework experiment. The experiential design was chosen for two equal groups (experimental and control). The researcher chose the secondary school of al-Aqeedah and al-Bayan secondary school, deliberately because it is close to her place of residence and for the management of the two schools. The sample consisted of (56) students randomly distributed to two experimental groups, using a problem-based learning strategy, and an average of 28 students from each group. The researcher rewarded the two research groups in a number of variables Which has an impurity Seen on the independent variable (IQ and chronological age of the previous collection ...).
The research material, represented by the first three chapters of the mathematics book, was identified and (51) behavioral objects were defined. The study plans were prepared for each group. They also prepared the tools needed for research in order to acquire the concepts. Processed statistically.
    The results showed:
The students of the experimental group exceeded the control group in acquiring the mathematical concepts of this strategy, in light of which the researcher presented a number of recommendations and suggestions.
