Abstract

Ibn Sabat al-Gharbi is a historian born in the second half of the ninth century AH in a scientific family. His father was an imam and a teacher of the students in the Mosque of Abia, and his brother was a scholar who had a clear impact in his scientific development, grew up a lover of history, Books and sources such as: Quran, poetry, history, translations, classes, countries and geography. His methodology was based on shortening the incidents and news according to the method of yearbooks in his introduction to make the years year after year, indicating the events taking place with the deaths of the caliphs, sultans and scholars . He died in 926 AH / 1520 AD.
